Keith Michaels, Au.D. is from a family of hearing care professionals. The Michaels family has six family members working in their eight different locations across the Los Angeles area. Dr. Michaels received his master’s degree from CSULA, where renowned audiologists Dr. Miles Peterson and Dr. Peter Ivory guided him through his graduate work. He then went on to acquire his doctorate at the Florida University Premiere Program for Audiology. Dr. Michaels has helped fit thousands of people with hearing aids in the last several years and loves to work with people who have problems with their balance and/or vertigo.
Matt Michaels, M.S., CCC-A, is an Audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist. Mr. Michaels graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1995 with a master’s degree in Communication Disorders/Audiology. He has trained at the House Ear Clinic, CARE Center for Children and at the VA Hospital. He has been an advanced technology consultant for a leading manufacturer and has trained other professionals. He is known as a warm and caring hearing healthcare provider as well as a knowledgeable and skilled professional.
Chad Walker, Au.D., is a licensed Dispensing Audiologist. He completed his undergraduate work at Chapman University and graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Business Administration. He received his Doctorate in Audiology from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois in 2020. He is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and has his Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Walker enjoys working with patients to find creative solutions to their hearing healthcare needs and is passionate about programming hearing devices. He currently practices in our Torrance location.
Jessica Paz, B.A, C-AA is an Audiology Assistant. She completed her undergraduate work at California State University, Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has her Audiology Assistant certification. She is learning American Sign Language to help better assist the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing patients. Jessica enjoys connecting with people in a genuine, friendly and compassionate manner.
Ryan Kalberer is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. He comes from a long line of hearing health professionals, and from an early age knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and help the world hear and communicate more efficiently. Ryan completed most of his studies in Northern California. He has since relocated to help meet the needs of the great people of Los Angeles is now living his dream of helping people correct their hearing issues.
Noemi Corona, B.A., HIS is a Hearing Instrument Specialist / Hearing Care Provider. After graduating from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders, she worked as an audiology assistant at the company before becoming a licensed specialist. Noemi believes hearing aids can help restore the emotional and social aspects of communication. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Noemi uses this skill to provide exceptional care at several of our offices. She currently practices in our Torrance and Long Beach office.
Elizabeth Hernandez, B.A., HIS is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from California State University, Los Angeles. Elizabeth strives to provide an exceptional, tailored service to each and every one of her patients, from every cultural background to every hearing profile. Through her apprenticeships under several doctors she has developed a passion for guiding patients through the sometimes difficult but necessary hearing care journey.
Ghalia Mohder, Au.D, CCC-A is a licensed clinical and dispensing audiologist. She attended the University of California, San Diego where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Doctorate of Audiology. Dr. Mohder joined the American Hearing and Balance team as a clinical fellow in 2009 and then went on to practice in Texas and Oklahoma as a managing audiologist with one of the most prestigious clinics, before returning to Southern California. She is certified through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and has extensive experience in various areas of audiology including comprehensive hearing assessments, balance testing, and working with the latest amplification technology. Dr. Mohder’s clinical skills and passion for helping others allows her to deliver exceptional care to her patients, especially those who enjoy the convenience of in-home services.
Hermes Pineda is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. A longtime family employee, Hermes initially worked with the company while in college and quickly realized he wanted to pursue a career in the field of audiology after helping patients with their hearing aids. The skills and knowledge he has developed over the years has made him a natural when it comes to helping those with special hearing needs. Hermes is happy to help in both English and Spanish.
